The U.S. Holocaust Museum (USHMM) in downtown Washington launched their new website on Tuesday, September 17th, 2013.
USHMM approached Webarchives during the design stage of the site and asked us to help them ensure their site had a highly functional and user friendly public search.
Webarchives was chosen by USHMM because of our integration expertise with iDAM software, a system that not only manages the Photoarchives collection, but also serves as a primary marketing repository. Items such as the news filter palette enable users to quickly distill thousands of images for research and educational purposes.
Our iDAM integration, coupled with our design expertise, allowed us to design and program a visually appealing Photo Archives page that is easy to navigate and accommodates a better public search.
"The Photo Archives is a rich and expanding collection of photographic images gathered from archives, libraries, museums, photo agencies, and private donors around the world. The collection spans the period from the end of World War I to the early 1950s."
